Where To Brunch In Baltimore

4

Iron Rooster

Location: 3721 Boston St, Baltimore, MD 21224

What I have to try: Ok, so because this place is literally AMAZING, I have to try a few things. First on my list is the monkey bread with rum raisin sauce, candied pecans,  and fresh sliced bananas….yea, I think I just drooled.  Second on my list is the Ranchers Benny with fried green tomato, boursin cheese, roasted corn, salsa, roasted poblano sauce, poached egg, hollandaise, on an english muffin…. a million and one ingredients but it sounds HEAVENLY. BTW Boursin cheese is a “creamy cheese available in a variety of flavors”…not the best description Wiki but we will have to go with it.

Mrs. Shirleys

Location: 750 E Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21202

What I have to try: Next up is hands down, no gimicks, my favorite. Miss Shirleys is like going to my grandmas house…its like slow cooked love to perfection…yes Miss Shirleys I am open to endorsements and I literally would eat everything on the menu. So, ” What I HAVE to Try” is probably very limited seeing as though I HAVE tried almost everything so I will instead say “What You NEED to Get. Point. Blank. Period. You need the Spicy Shirley. Its their version of a Bloody Mary but the real kicker, as with any other Bloody Mary is the garnish. This Bloody Mary comes with a green tomato slice, pickled okra, pepper, jalapeno, celery, a peppadew, green olive, lemon and lime wedge with an old bay rim. Get the f**k outta here. Literally, you have had your entire days dose of vegetables in one sitting while your wait….and trust me, you are going to wait. Wait times at this place can range up to two hours, there are no reservations and unfortunately I am one of the sad ones who will stand around noshing on my Bloody Mary, waiting for someone to go to the bathroom so I can make a run for their seat. Its a hard world folks.  They also offer a Born On The Bay-O Bloody Mary, get it Bay O…HA! This comes with Deep eddy Citrus Vodka, and is garnished with Blackend Shrimp, Tasso Ham, Andouille Sausage, Cheddar, Pickled Orka, Tomato and Celery and an Old Bay Rim….{Sighs} that I don’t have one in front of me RIGHT THIS SECOND. Ok, on to the food, because I am sure you are patiently waiting. What you need to get (and I get the same things WITHOUT FAIL) is the Funky Monkey Bread with bananas, chocolate, pecans and dusted powered sugar and cinnamon and the Buffalo Shrimp Deviled Eggs. For your entree you have to try the Crab Cake and Fried Green Tomato Eggs Benedict with poached eggs, mini jumbo lump crab cakes on fried green tomatoes, roasted corn, and tomato relish with asparagus and old bay hollandaise…. LOVE IT!!! I am actually getting dressed this second because I have to go… I am literally salivating.

LANGERMANS

Location: 2400 Boston Street Baltimore, Maryland 21224

What I have to try: Ok so this place has brunch Saturday (10am-3pm) Sunday (10am-2:30pm). They offer $4 Mimosa, $4 Bloody Mary, $4.50 Bellini so obviously, you know I’ll be there. On Sundays however, brunch comes with entree and a complimentary mimosa for $20….LIFE IS GOOD.  So what do I want to eat. I am taking it back to my old ways and going for that memphis Benedict with two poached eggs, and pulled pork on a english muffin. Its only right yal. Plus $4 mimosas, I mean this place clearly wants me to come.

Woodberry Kitchen

Location: 2010 Clipper Park Rd #126, Baltimore, MD 21211

What I have to try: Let me tell you, this brunch is no joke. How Am I Brunchin? First I am going to go on Sunday (10am-2pm) because lets face it you guys, Sunday brunches are just better. So I am going to sit my ass down on Sunday, then I am going to indulge in the Holy Grail that is a Woodberry Kitchen Brunch.  Sweets always come first in my book, so start me off with Sour Cream Coffee Cake. I have never had a bad coffee cake in my entire life and I mean, me and coffee cake have been cool since I used to get them in the little plastic package out of the box…girl stop.  So yes, I need that. I also might need to Strawberry Poptart….. and depending on whether or not I plan on doing an extra dental floss that night, I MAY just have to get the WK donut. No judgements please! You live once, thats what the gym is for.  For my drink I am defiantly going for the Mule Variation with kombcha. I am a kombucha FANATIC, its good for you, and it helps everything kinda go down and out which is perfect because it decreases the amount of times I actually have to go to the gym hahah. For my entree, I need two things and they are very different so I feel its justified. I need (hence the choice of words. I NEED not I WANT.. its that serious) the Pork Belly and Eggs. My life would be nothing without pork belly so this actually necessary. This dish comes with a jalapeno hollandaise, an english muffin, and skillet potatoes. Delish! Next thing I NEED is the Mobtown Fry. ANYTHING that has the word MOBTOWN in it, you know its going to be good. Just order it, don’t even think about it. So, the mobtown fry comes with cheddar gravy fried oysters, city ham, scrambled eggs, and toast. All this amazingness has me asking…. Was this meal made for Jesus? (looking up to the sky and pondering…)
